The new playground at Mission Creek Regional Park will be unveiled on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is inviting the community to  attend the grand opening from 11 a.m to 12 p.m.

ѻýThe redesigned playground reflects extensive community input and a strong commitment to accessibility,ѻý an RDCO media release stated.

After receiving feedback on the original design, significant changes were made to ensure the space better meets the needs of all users, including children of varying ages and abilities.

ѻýImproving accessibility across regional parks is a vital component of the boardѻýs strategic focus on health and wellness,ѻý the RDCO said. ѻýThe renewal of the Mission Creek playground stands out as a powerful example of how meaningful community consultation can lead to the creation of public spaces that reflect diverse needs and foster belonging.ѻý
