A Canadian country music sensation is bringing his band to the Okanagan and the Kootenays this fall.
Dallas Smith has announced he will be touring B.C. this October as part of his cross-Canada tour, dubbed the Dallas Smith and band One Night Only "Unplugged" Tour, with special guest Brock Phillips.
Smith will perform at the Sagebrush Theatre in Kamloops Oct. 22; the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Oct. 24; the Kelowna Community Theatre Oct. 25; Trail's Charles Bailey Theatre Oct. 26; and Cranbrook's Key City Theatre Oct. 27.
All show times are 7:30 p.m.
Dallas Smith has a track record of noteworthy success, from being the front man of the platinum-selling rock band Default to being named three-time consecutive Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Entertainer of the Year. Across his storied career, the bona fide hit maker has amassed 21 gold certified singles, nine platinum certified singles and four gold certified albums, with more than 640 million global streams and over two million album equivalents to date.
Adding another milestone to his resume, Smith made his Grand Ole Opry debut last summer.
His self-titled first full-length project with Big Loud Records was produced by longtime collaborator Joey Moi and features writing credits from HARDY, Cole Swindell and Grammy-nominated songwriter Ashley Gorley, plus ERNEST and Grammy-winning songwriter Hillary Lindsay.
Smith is also one of the featured artists on this year's live television event at the CCMA awards show on CTV Sept. 13.
