Locals celebrate the magic of art after dark at LUNA Fest during three days of nocturnal art and wonder across Revelstoke.

Luna Fest offered a curated lineup of light, musical talent, mesmerizing installation art, interactive performances, and family-friendly fun that transfored the downtown core. 

The theme of this year乌鸦传媒檚 LUNA Fest was 乌鸦传媒淚n Contrast,乌鸦传媒� embracing the notion that comparison reveals both our differences and our connections.

乌鸦传媒淚n Contrast乌鸦传媒� invited attendees to explore the dynamic interplay of visible opposites. From the juxtaposition of large and small, sharp and blurry, to the interplay of light and dark, this year乌鸦传媒檚 installations will deliberately highlight contrasts, sparking unexpected narratives and deeper contemplation, said Nora Hughes, general manager of Arts Revelstoke and LUNA Fest producer.

乌鸦传媒淪eeking to create a space where discomfort and satisfaction intersect, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of art乌鸦传媒檚 diverse perspectives and expressions, this is LUNA In Contrast,乌鸦传媒� she said

The three-day celebration began on the evening of Friday, Sept. 20, with LUNA Sound, a musical takeover of four downtown Revelstoke venues. 

Hughes said 11 of Canada乌鸦传媒檚 best new musical artists invaded Revelstoke on Friday.

乌鸦传媒淚n contrast to the industry norm, all the bands this year are female-forward, showcasing the incredible talent and diversity of women and non-binary musicians,乌鸦传媒� she says. 乌鸦传媒滱rts Revelstoke was excited to create this unique vibe for a more inclusive and equitable future.乌鸦传媒� 

On Saturday, Sept. 21, LUNA Arts featured a 30-plus performance and installation art pieces. 

乌鸦传媒淚n contrast to previous LUNA Fest weekends, this year乌鸦传媒檚 LUNA Arts event was performance-heavy with a timetable of must-see events,乌鸦传媒� said Hughes. 乌鸦传媒淪unday was a daytime celebration meant to include the whole family and we are aiming to create a space for local talent to take the stage and join in on the LUNA Fest magic.乌鸦传媒�

LUNA Sunday was a collaboration with the Revelstoke Railway Museum乌鸦传媒檚 Railway Days and featured local musical talent as well as LUNA Youth workshops.
