A missing treasure, pirates, a poisoned realtor and a mystery solving writer of mysteries.
Each of these are pieces at play in an upcoming performance by King's Theatre students at King's Christian Elementary.
Written by Craig Sodaro, Dead Man's Chest follows the Dr. Lewis Squeaky and her team of amateur archaeologists in the search for of a legendary missing treasure believed to be in the Caribbean. Their sea voyage, captained by Frosty Foote, begins to parallel a past expedition for the same treasure, during which another famed archaeologist was murdered by pirates.
When a realtor aboard is killed by poison, Foote appeals to the one person on board who can solve the crime: Agatha Frisky, the sweet and famous mystery writer.
Accusations, chases and deception abound before the killer is revealed and the Dead ManÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s Chest turns up in the most unlikely of places.
The play runs three nights, June 2,3 and 4, at King's Christian School with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and showtime at 7. Tickets, $5, are available at kings-christian-school.helcim.app/quick-order.
