A heat warning has been issued for the Thompson and South Okanagan.
Environment Canada issued the warning today, Aug. 10, and anticipates daily temperature highs of 35-37C through to Wednesday.
Residents are encouraged to check on family, friends, and neighbours who may be at greater risk for heat-related illnesses and those who live alone without air conditioning.
Signs of heat-related illness can include dizziness, headache, fainting, extreme thirst. nausea, vomiting, and rapid breathing and heartbeat.
