Tara Armstrong will soon have an office in Lake Country.
The Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream Independent MLA's new office will be located at #721-11850 Oceola Road, previously vacated by The Bullpen doggy daycare facility.
"It will be open as soon as renovations are complete and the Legislative Assemblyѻýs leasing support team gives me the authorization to move in," said Armstrong to Black Press Media.
Armstrong was elected as MLA in October 2024, however on March 7, she announced she was leaving the Conservative Party to support colleague Dallas Brodie, the MLA of Vancouver-Quilchena, who was removed for ѻýmocking and belittlingѻý residential school survivors. Jordan Kealy, MLA for Peace River North also joined Brodie and Armstrong.
Since that time the s, on May 6. In response, Armstrong said, "I intend to respond to the snpinkѻýtn in due course."
In a March 15 , Armstrong confirmed the new office and stated she was one of over 20 MLAs waiting to gain an office space. Armstrong recently confirmed this with Black Press Media.
"The Legislative Assemblyѻýs leasing support department finds and leases office space on behalf of MLAs," said Armstrong. "Due to the number of new MLAs and some riding boundary changes, theyѻýve had an unprecedented number of new offices to open and several MLAs are still without office space. In many ridings, office space is difficult to find, and Lake Country was one of those ridings. Knowing this was a challenge, I made several inquiries and found the space weѻýll be moving into."
It's unknown when the office will be completed.
