Kelowna RCMP arrest knife-wielding man after Clement Avenue incident

Kelowna RCMP say a man with a knife was taken into custody Tuesday morning after an incident on Clement Avenue.

Police were called to the 500-block of Clement Ave. around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 12. According to RCMP, the man was ѻýdisplaying aggressive behaviour and causing a disturbance.ѻý

The man did not comply with officers commands. 

ѻýDue to the male not being compliant, police deployed a less lethal round, which was not successful and subsequently another round was deployed which was,ѻý and RCMP media release sated.

Police say there was ѻýno threat to public safety.ѻý

The investigation is ongoing and RCMP say ѻýno further information will be provided.ѻý
