While residents of Orchard Gardens weren乌鸦传媒檛 striding for that goal during the community乌鸦传媒檚 second annual WalkerThon乌鸦传媒攖heir spirit and efforts were a thousand times appreciated.
乌鸦传媒淚t乌鸦传媒檚 near and dear to our hearts to raise money and give back to the community,乌鸦传媒� said Brett DeWitt, general manager, Orchard Gardens. 乌鸦传媒淭hey worked hard their whole lives and they乌鸦传媒檙e coming here, and being part of something like this to give back is very important for us.乌鸦传媒�
Dozens of residents made the 400 metre loop around their building several times on Wednesday (May 28) in support of the KGH Foundation.
乌鸦传媒淚t乌鸦传媒檚 a marvelous way of giving back to the community,乌鸦传媒� Doreen Zilkie noted. 乌鸦传媒淜GH is one of my favourites."
Her walking partner, Diane Fletcher, agreed.

Residents乌鸦传媒� families were invited to take part and support their loved ones as well.
B.C. Emergency Health Services, the Kelowna Fire Department and representatives from the Home Depot on Enterprise Way also participated in the event.
乌鸦传媒淭im Horton乌鸦传媒檚 helped us out as well,乌鸦传媒� DeWitt added. 乌鸦传媒淚t乌鸦传媒檚 really exciting. 乌鸦传媒淲e乌鸦传媒檙e building up every year.乌鸦传媒�
Other activities included a raffle, BBQ and entertainment. The event raised $2,600 for the KGH Foundation.
Orchard Gardens is part of Vancouver-based VRS Communities Society which also has other residences in the Okanagan, Shuswap, Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Alberta.
