The executive director of the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) is seeking the B.C. NDP nomination for Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream.

乌鸦传媒淚乌鸦传媒檓 eager to take on this new challenge,乌鸦传媒� said Anna Warwick Sears. 乌鸦传媒淲e need a strong, clear voice for this riding in Victoria.乌鸦传媒�

She pointed out last year乌鸦传媒檚 wildfires and protecting homes and water supplies from extreme weather and climate change as motivation for her decision.

乌鸦传媒淚乌鸦传媒檓 also really motivated by the shortage of affordable housing, the need to improve our infrastructure, and the challenges with our healthcare system. Time is short, and I appreciate the real action being taken by David Eby乌鸦传媒檚 NDP.乌鸦传媒�

Warwick Sears added that if selected as candidate she will be a voice for B.C. Interior issues.

乌鸦传媒淲hich are not always well understood on the coast. I have spent my career listening to community needs, and advocating for community solutions. I intend to take this approach with me to Victoria.乌鸦传媒�

OBWB Chair and Lake Country Mayor Blair Ireland, Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming, and Water Supply Association of B.C. Chair Bob Hrasko, endorsed Warwick Sears in a media release.

Warwick Sears will continue in her role at the OBWB through the provincial election, scheduled on or before October 19.

She has been with the board since 2006, and its executive director since 2007.
