Carcross RCMP are asking the public for information regarding items of historical and cultural value that were allegedly stolen from the Yukon Suspension Bridge in Northern B.C. over the winter.
In an RCMP press release on May 8, police said the missing valuables include an antique bison skull dated 42,000 years old, an antique cash register, an old RCMP red serge uniform, bar stools and a ѻýsignificantѻý amount of change.
ѻýThese items are not only financially valuable but also hold cultural and historical importance to the area,ѻý reads the release.
The break-in and theft took place sometime over the winter months at the site along the South Klondike Highway near Fraser, B.C., per police.
Police are trying to identify those who broke into the site. RCMP is asking those with information on their identities or the whereabouts of the missing items to contact Carcross RCMP at 867-821-5555, the emergency line at 867-821-2677 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
