An unplanned closure of Highway 1 near the Bruhn Bridge construction site at Sicamous is in effect due to a rock slide.
DriveBC reports a geotechnical investigation is underway and provided no estimate for when the slide would be cleared.
The bridge is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. closures Monday to Friday for construction work, with highways 97A and 97B serving as the designated detour routes.
