Raymond Salgado joins Host Peter McCully to talk about competing on the television show ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½œCanadaÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s Got Talent.ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜Once I got the opportunity to participate this year, it really wasnÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™t something that I was expecting, a lot of the memories, a lot of the opportunities coming my way. This whole experience has been very validating to me.ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™
Salgado says that he had just finished auditioning for ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜American IdolÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™, when the opportunity arose.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜ItÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s interesting because at the time I just came off of auditioning for American Idol and that didnÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™t really go my way at the time, I think that was a huge turning point for me because I realized, itÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s not that I wasnÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™t vocally ready, it was just not the right time in that moment.ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™
The only person in British Columbia to make it as a finalist, Salgado talks about the talented people in and around Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜ItÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s just crazy. ThereÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s so much talent in Nanaimo and itÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s really cool to see people just being able to share their gifts with our community and being able to share that on a world platform. ThereÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s just so much talent. IÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™m not surprised, but IÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™m also just so happy that weÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™ve been able to represent well with music and with the arts.ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™
Lauren Spencer Smith and Cameron Whitcomb competed on ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜American IdolÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™ and Carlow Rush and Jacksun Fryer of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜FunkanometryÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™ recently competed on ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜AmericaÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s got Talent,ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™ all of Nanaimo.
The podcast contains SalgadoÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s version of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½˜Feeling GoodÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™, which launched him into the final.
