Would a neighbourhood by any other name be as sweet?
If it乌鸦传媒檚 Rutland you乌鸦传媒檙e talking about, the answer is simply, don乌鸦传媒檛 mess with the name. Rutland is a name and community people are proud of and the reaction we got to a story on the subject was tremendous. Take a minute to read some of the comments on the story for a Family Day dose of community pride.

Roxanne Stewart Rutland should remain Rutland. I am from Rutland and proud of it鉂わ笍! If Rutland even remotely resembled Compton, I乌鸦传媒檓 sure BCIT would not have put a campus there for all to access. There are bad apples everywhere, don乌鸦传媒檛 judge the masses by the behaviours of a few. If you are not happy being in town..move. Changing the name will not improve the behaviour of one set on doing wrong. I am 乌鸦传媒楽traight Outta Rutland乌鸦传媒�!

Patti Mellish this is so ridiculous乌鸦传媒�..besides being an amazing place to live and raise your kids乌鸦传媒�.and I know because I have lived in Rutland 21 years, my son born and raised乌鸦传媒ξ谘淮溅changing the name will do nothing, maybe it isn乌鸦传媒檛 the most glamorous name but it is a name that invokes pride in many, many people, as well it should乌鸦传媒�..there is bad pockets in every part of this city, but here in Rutland, there is also an incredible sense of community.
