Doug McCallum乌鸦传媒檚 edited 911 call, roughly nine minutes long, to report an alleged hit-and-run in which he claimed a woman ran over his foot was played out in Surrey provincial court Tuesday (Nov. 1).

He told the dispatcher a driver 乌鸦传媒渏ust about hit me, actually乌鸦传媒� and 乌鸦传媒渟he ran over my leg and foot.乌鸦传媒�

He described the driver as 乌鸦传媒渇airly stocky乌鸦传媒� in her 60s.

The driver, Deborah Johnstone,

乌鸦传媒淪he乌鸦传媒檚 harassed me before,乌鸦传媒� McCallum told the dispatcher. 乌鸦传媒淪he called me a piece of shit.乌鸦传媒�

Asked if he needed an ambulance, McCallum said he could drive with his right foot to hospital and that his left foot was 乌鸦传媒渧ery numb.乌鸦传媒�

The call was edited by the court to omit the former mayor乌鸦传媒檚 personal information.

McCallum later told the Surrey RCMP during a 58-minute interview at the station that 乌鸦传媒渟he just floored it. I thought she was going to peel rubber.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淭hey came out of nowhere and just pinned me,乌鸦传媒� he told the RCMP. 乌鸦传媒淟iterally just about pinned me.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淪he was screaming terrible stuff.乌鸦传媒�

He said the driver, who was 乌鸦传媒渨earing a white 乌鸦传媒楰eep the RCMP in Surrey乌鸦传媒� shirt,乌鸦传媒� turned at him, ran over his foot 乌鸦传媒渁nd took off乌鸦传媒� while 乌鸦传媒渟houting at the top of her lungs.乌鸦传媒�

McCallum told the police officer he went to Peace Arch Hospital and underwent seven X-rays which, he said, revealed soft tissue damage but no broken bones.

乌鸦传媒淪he literally turned into me,乌鸦传媒� he said, 乌鸦传媒渁nd ran over my foot.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淚t looked like she just purposely wanted to clip me,乌鸦传媒� he said.

乌鸦传媒淪he乌鸦传媒檚 at every council meeting, she harasses us all the time.乌鸦传媒�

The former Surrey mayor is charged with one count of public mischief, stemming from an encounter on Sept. 4, 2021 between himself and a group of volunteers that was gathering petition signatures outside the South Point Save-On-Foods store in South Surrey for a referendum on the policing transition. McCallum is accused of misleading police with his complaint.

McCallum said he walked over to Keep the RCMP organizer Ivan Scott to complain.

McCallum said doctors told him 乌鸦传媒渢hat appears to be assault.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淪he ran over my toe,乌鸦传媒� he said, claiming the driver was in a 乌鸦传媒渞age.

乌鸦传媒淚 think what happened is she really wanted to pin me.乌鸦传媒�

The trial, set for seven days, continues.
