RCMP received a report of a bomb threat at the Kamloops Law Courts just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
Mounties and the BC Sheriff Services, shut down and evacuated the courthouse, pedestrians and motorists were also told to stay away from the area. The Police Dog Service Unit, along with a bomb-sniffing dog searched the entire building and found no explosives, said Const. Sofie Winkles.
The courthouse was re-opened to employees and the public by 2 p.m.
Police are still investigating the threat.
