Sicamous bylaw will again be assisted by Salmon Arm Bylaw Services (Vadium) during the summer when the community sees an influx of people.
At the June 11 council meeting, human resources manager Shawna Koll explained that if council approved the appointment, Vadium would be providing some contracted services for the district to "have seven day a week bylaw enforcement throughout the summer."
She added they would start June 21 and continue through till the end of August, and would provide coverage on Saturdays and Sundays, with the company first contracted to assist last summer. According to the district's Statement of Financial Information, they paid $31,821 for the service in 2024.
Council approved the recommendation for Vadium to supplement the district's regular bylaw officer Ciara Thompson.
