Wildfire discovered in Kamloops' Kenna Cartwright Nature Park

The fire was discovered at 4:17 p.m. on Saturday, May 24

BC Wildfire Service is responding to a wildfire in Kamloops.

The blaze was found at 4:17 p.m. in Kenna Cartwright Nature Park. 

It is currently described as out of control and sits at 0.009 hectares in size. 

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Kamloops Fire Rescue is also on scene. The City of Kamloops is asking residents to avoid the park and nearby trails at this time.
