Current NHL stars and alumni took over Prospera Place on Friday, Aug. 23, for the Kelowna Hockey Fest pro game.

After a successful inaugural event, Kelowna Hockey Fest (KHF) is back this August.

ѻýLast year, we were blown away by the incredible support from our local community,ѻý said Kelowna High Performance co-owner Mark Fitzgerald. ѻýOur inaugural event not only brought the community together, but also created 90 local jobs, engaged 55 dedicated volunteers, and welcomed over 3,000 visitors to the free community event and Pro Game. We canѻýt wait to bring Kelowna Hockey Fest back this summer with some exciting new additions for our local hockey fans.ѻý

The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, starting at 1 p.m. outside Prospera Place with street hockey, food trucks, bouncy castles and more.

At 5 p.m., Kelowna Hockey Fest Pro Game will take place in the arena with many current and former NHL players and coaches including Brayden Schenn (St. Louis Blues, Tyler Myers (Vancouver Canucks), Ethan Bear (Washington Capitals), Dustin Wolf (Calgary Flames), Shea Theodore (Vegas Golden Knights) and Seattle Kraken assistant coach Jessica Campbell. More players will be announced leading up to the event.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and a chuck-a-puck event with proceeds supporting the YMCA of Southern Interior of BC.

ѻýWeѻýre incredibly proud to support KHP's Kelowna Hockey Fest again," said GSL Sports & Entertainment senior director of event operations Marlon Weidlich. "Any way we can support bringing our community together is a massive win for our organization and doing it through our shared love of hockey is an added bonus. GSL is excited to continue building on our legacy of giving back and strengthening connections at home here in Kelowna.ѻý

Tickets are now on sale at selectyourtickets.com and cost $12 for children 12 and under and $22-$30 for adults.
