Okanagan Coyotes host free basketball camp for youth

The Okanagan College (OC) Coyotes Basketball program is offering up a free youth camp.

The Sunday, Aug. 31 event gives players in Grades 1 through 8 the opportunity to experience high-level coaching, develop their skills, and enjoy an engaging basketball environment.

ѻýBy offering free access to professional coaching and fun, structured sessions, the program is lowering barriers for families while helping inspire the next generation of athletes in the Okanagan,ѻý an OC Coyotes media release says.

Coaching staff and players will lead the sessions that include fundamental skills, teamwork, and a positive experience. 

Participants will also receive a free autographed card of an Okanagan College menѻýs or womenѻýs basketball player, complimentary season passes to attend all Coyotes home games throughout the year, and additional giveaways on camp day.

Sessions take place at Okanagan College South (OCS-1000 KLO Road) and Flex Academy (905 Badke Road).

Registration is free but required, as space is limited, through the .

Camp Schedule:

  • Grade 1ѻý2 Boys & Girls at OCS - 10:40-11:40 a.m.
  • Grade 3ѻý4 Boys at OCS - 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m.
  • Grade 3ѻý5 Girls at OCS - 1-2 p.m.
  • Grade 5ѻý6 Boys at Flex Academy  - 5:15-6:15 p.m.
  • Grade 6ѻý8 Girls at Flex Academy -  6:25-7:25 p.m.
