Hit 乌鸦传媒�90s band The Mavericks are taking their music across the world in celebration of 30 years and have chosen Kelowna as one of the stops.

The Mavericks will take the stage at Kelowna Community Theatre on Oct. 15, marking the only B.C. stop on the self-described 乌鸦传媒渞ock 乌鸦传媒檔乌鸦传媒� roll-country-Tejano乌鸦传媒� band乌鸦传媒檚 tour.

The Miami-born band reunited in 2012 reigniting their fusion of Latino and American music.

乌鸦传媒淲e乌鸦传媒檙e going to be bringing stuff out from the very early material right up to the most current,乌鸦传媒� said guitarist and long-time Maverick Eddie Perez.

乌鸦传媒淎nd we乌鸦传媒檙e going to present that in a way that乌鸦传媒檚 a little special. A real production, shall we say!乌鸦传媒�

Since the band reunited, they promised they would never become a 乌鸦传媒渘ostalgia act.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淚乌鸦传媒檓 not one to look back, I never have been,乌鸦传媒� said co-founder, singer and key songwriter Raul Malo. 乌鸦传媒淚 always want to move forward with our music and look to the future, and our fans want that too 乌鸦传媒� they always respond really well to every new album.

乌鸦传媒淏ut if you can乌鸦传媒檛 celebrate 30 years in such a tough business as the music industry, what can you celebrate? I乌鸦传媒檓 proud that we乌鸦传媒檝e made our mark and it乌鸦传媒檚 good to celebrate that. I think we乌鸦传媒檝e found the perfect way to mark these 30 years without thinking only about the past and I乌鸦传媒檓 really excited to get out and play these shows.乌鸦传媒�

In 1996 the group won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their song Here Comes the Rain. The track also reached number four on the Canadian country charts.
