Here's something to live for ѻý a barn dance in Spallumcheen featuring a Canadian music icon.
You will be able to swing your partner and do-si-do your cares away with Barney Bentall and Friends Saturday, Aug. 16, at Caravan Farm Theatre's Timber Barn.
Bentall is a veteran folk/country singer, songwriter and musician who first came to national attention fronting The Legendary Hearts in 1988. He will bring his familyѻýs star power to Caravan Farm Theatre for a benefit concert in support of the professional theatreѻýs 2025 season.
Bentall is joined by his ѻýcounter culture cowboyѻý son Dustin Bentall, and Dustinѻýs partner Trixie Bentall ѻý a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer ѻý who, In addition to collaborating with Dustin and Barney, performs with bands The Blue Wranglers, a Cariboo country-bluegrass band, and The Waverley Pickers, a cowgirl super-group.
ѻýThe Bentalls have been tremendous supporters over the years, and we are honoured that they are making a pit stop at Caravan Farm Theatre on their cross country tour,ѻý says Estelle Shook, Caravan's artistic director.
The alternative country songsmiths will perform a 75-90 minute set, followed by an old-fashioned barn dance, complete with caller.

All good celebrations include delicious food and drink, and this event is no exception: the bounty of the Okanagan will be on offer with Helmut's Sausage Kitchen's barbecue smokies, fresh Okanagan peach pie, and a bar stocked with the finest local ales and craft cocktails.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
