RCMP looking for public assistance after hit-and-run on Okanagan Falls senior

Police are looking for anyone who may have seen a hit-and-run that involved a senior in Okanagan Falls on July 31.

The elderly female pedestrian was hit by the vehicle while she was crossing at the marked crosswalk at 10th Avenue and Main Street at about 2 p.m. 

She sustained minor injuries, and the vehicle did not remain at the scene. 

Police state the vehicle involved is believed to be a newer model grey GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver is described as a female in her late 60s with mid-length hair.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision to contact police.
