Update: Brush fire in Peachland snuffed out

The West Kelowna Fire Department has been called in to assist

Peachland and West Kelowna fire crews have extinguished the fire and are now mopping up.

The Peachland Fire Service is dealing with a grass fire in the community.

Several 911 calls came in just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday (May 6) reporting a blaze near the intersection of Princeton and Lipsett avenues. The fire is burning just metres from several homes.

The West Kelowna Fire Department has been called in to assist.

It's not known how the fire started, but hydro lines have been reported down in the area.
