Work along Vernon Creek will result in traffic control for a portion of 25th Avenue.
Construction is slated to start soon on vegetation removal, stream bank reshaping and reinforcing, and site rehabilitation with landscaping near 44th Street (beside a frontage road off 25th Avenue, across from Avalon Event Rentals).
"During this time, traffic patterns on the road and multi-use path may be altered to accommodate trucking materials in and out of the construction site," said Cabin Operations Ltd., contractors for the project for the City of Vernon.
Starting Tuesday, Aug. 19, traffic control will be in place to facilitate truck access to the north bank for Vernon Creek for the Vernon Water Reclamation Bank Armouring.
The requirement for traffic pattern alteration is scheduled to end Friday, Sept. 5. Dates may vary depending on weather conditions.
"We appreciate your patience during this construction, and look forward to the completion of the project," said Cabin Operations.
