West Kelownaѻýs favourite summer celebration is back for its 44th yearѻýand the team behind it promises another unforgettable weekend.
From July 10ѻý13, Westside Daze will take over Memorial Park with a packed lineup of live music, food trucks, artisans, family activities and, the parade.
ѻýIt means a whole lotѻýbringing West Kelowna together, families of all ages to watch the entertainment, laugh, have fun,ѻý said Jarrett Young, the eventѻýs media and marketing coordinator.
Young said itѻýs a true community effort, powered by volunteers and local businesses coming together to make the magic happen.
ѻýAll the help, and sponsorships that we get from the community, and all the businesses that help put this onѻýitѻýs fantastic,ѻý he said.
This yearѻýs entertainment lineup includes:
- Jackson Hollow ѻý award-winning bluegrass harmonies
- Totally Twain ѻý a tribute to Canadian icon Shania Twain
- Jonathan Williams ѻý a local artist bringing heart and soul to the stage
- Appaloosa ѻý high-energy country rock
- Munro Patrick ѻý crowd-pleasing feel-good hits
For families, thereѻýs no shortage of fun including giant inflatables, misting stations, foam parties, a pancake breakfast, and performances by The Reptile Queen and Just4Fun.
Shooting Star Amusements will also be on site, and a drone show is planned to light up the night sky.
The Westside Daze parade rolls down Brown Road on Saturday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Opening ceremonies are Friday at 6:30 p.m.
