One of Canada's oldest rodeos returns to the bucking chutes for the May long weekend.
The 105th Falkland Stampede runs Saturday to Monday, May 17-19, at the Stampede Grounds off Highway 97.
The rodeo featuring the world's top cowboys and cowgirls begins on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a spectacular parade through downtown Falkland on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with rodeo action starting at 2 p.m. (travellers take note: Highway 97 will be closed for the duration of the parade Sunday).
The fun continues on Monday at 10 a.m. with the heavy horse pull and the rodeo is at 1 p.m, so there's plenty of time to enjoy the thrill of the competition.

The party doesn't stop when the sun goes down ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½“ there's a 19+ dance now located at the skating rink right next to the Grounds on Saturday and Sunday night, starting at 9 p.m. each night featuring The Dirt Road Kings.
If you have pre-sale tickets, you're guaranteed entry with two pieces of valid ID until 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., you may need to wait in line if the rink is full.
