It was terrifying moment for two West Kelowna residents after their Jeep went flying down an embankment, narrowly missing a large tree.
RCMP say icy roads are reportedly to blame for the single-vehicle collision in the area of Gellatly Road and Witt Road, late Monday night.
ѻýPolice were told that the Jeep Cherokee, occupied by a young man and a woman, had been travelling up Gellatly when the driver lost control on a corner and went down a 20-foot embankment,ѻý says Cpl. Jesse OѻýDonaghey.
ѻýNeither occupant reported any injuries. Crews plan to conduct a safe recovery of the vehicle sometime today.ѻý
