A name change is here for Kelowna乌鸦传媒檚 task force on crime reduction.

It乌鸦传媒檚 now the Mayor乌鸦传媒檚 Task Force on Crime Reduction after several councillors noted they did not have input on the appointees.

乌鸦传媒淭hey乌鸦传媒檝e been assigned by yourself (mayor),乌鸦传媒� said Coun. Loyal Wooldridge. 乌鸦传媒淚 don乌鸦传媒檛 really know the background of everybody. I乌鸦传媒檓 sure you乌鸦传媒檝e picked great people.乌鸦传媒�

Coun. Mohini Singh said she expects the appointees will do an excellent job, however, agreed with Wooldridge on the name change.

乌鸦传媒淛ust for us to be clear, this was not a council discussion, we didn乌鸦传媒檛 put forward the names, but as Coun. Wooldridge said this is a mayor乌鸦传媒檚 task force.乌鸦传媒�

Mayor Tom Dyas said he was fine with the name change.

乌鸦传媒淭his came out of our priority setting and it was stated that it would be called the crime and community task force, so that乌鸦传媒檚 why I followed that outline.乌鸦传媒�

The task force is currently made up of 13 members, including Dyas and Coun. Ron Cannan, from business organizations, justice and law enforcement representatives, and community outreach groups.
