Central Okanagan Search and Rescue helped a woman visiting from out of town on Monday, July 10.
Around 4 p.m., the mountain biker from Quebec lost her balance close to Trestle 6 on the Kettle Valley Railway and sustained both upper and lower body injuries.
COSARѻýs e-bike team was dispatched to the scene and medics performed first aid as they waited for COSARѻýs UTV (utility terrain vehicle) team to arrive.
The woman was moved successfully to the waiting ambulance and was transported to Kelowna General Hospital.
ѻýIѻýd like to thank the Myra Canyon Bike Rental first aid attendant for doing a fantastic job of stabilizing the subject,ѻý said search manager Duane Tresnich. ѻýHe did a great job, as did the subjectѻýs partner who handled communications to the rescue team.ѻý
