Revelstoke will see a star defenceman ascend to the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) this fall, following two successful years helping the Grizzlies top the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL).
Twenty-year-old Nathan White of Calgary will join the Maryville University Saints of St. Louis, Mo., next season and looks forward to continuing his stride toward becoming a "complete player," the KIJHL shared in a release.
In his second and final run with Revelstoke for the 2024-25 season, White scored six goals and earned 21 points over 29 games, then tacked on two goals and 12 points across 16 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff matches.
ѻýThis season was a period of significant growth for me as a player and a teammate,ѻý White said in the release. ѻýI became more confident with the puck and made better decisions under pressure. My play-making improved, and I really started to see the ice better, which helped me contribute more offensively and defensively.ѻý

He now leaves Revelstoke with a mean 0.72 points per regular-season game.

His junior hockey career hit the ice in 2022 with the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), where he played for both the Whitecourt Wolverines and Olds Grizzlys. White went on to log 46 games, 69 career games and five points.
As he looks ahead to departing south to take his hockey game to the next level, White added that the Grizzlies organization as a whole has proven instrumental to his growth as a player and person, and to his team's wider success.
"The coaching staff pushed me to raise my game every day, providing honest feedback, structure, and support that helped me stay focused and accountable," he said. "Their belief in my potential gave me the confidence to take more risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. A strong team culture with teammates who shared the same goals created a motivating and positive environment."
This last winter, White was crowned a KIJHL Star of the Week for assisting three goals, including the winner, in Revelstoke's opening playoff game that it
