Fun in the Tulameen sun

Tulameen Family Days took place over B.C. Day long weekend

It was all about making memories at Tulameen Family Days from Aug. 1 to 3 in the Similkameen.

Tulameen firefighters and their families helped set up for the event as well as the parade, which was a must-see moment of the weekend.

 The parade winners were:

  • First: The 4 seasons of fun, the Cindrich Family
  • Second: The Crazy Canadian Cousins
  • Third:  The Lawless Canadians

The weekend was filled with fun and notable guests such as  RCMP officers,  BC Emergency Health Services crews, the Firesmart team, Ember the fox, the bat display crew and the Princeton Fire Department.

The annual duck race was held to raise funds for the Tulameen Fire Department, with Connor taking first place, Robyn Matwichuk coming in second and Lizzy in third.

The three-day festival had everything from a cake decorating contest, to a corn hole and slow pitch tournament, to a beef barbecue, to a pancake breakfast.
