Kelowna RCMP were called to an alleged assault on Bernard Avenue in the early afternoon of May 12.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to Valley First Credit Union at the corner of Bernard and Ellis Street.
The RCMP told Capital News that individual inside the business had reportedly been acting suspicious. When confronted by staff, the individual allegedly became agitated and short fight ensued.
Police arrived on scene and arrested the suspect, who remains in custody at this time.
Staff at Valley First received minor injuries and were assessed by paramedics on site.
The investigation is ongoing.
