Crime and homelessness were a few issues on voters乌鸦传媒� minds as they cast their ballots today in Kelowna.

乌鸦传媒淥ne issue I would say is property taxes and乌鸦传媒� cleaning up the downtown, homelessness and crime,乌鸦传媒� said Kelowna resident Nick Gunn, at the polling station at Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Another resident said she wants council to 乌鸦传媒渉ome乌鸦传媒� people and not 乌鸦传媒渉ouse乌鸦传媒� them. She said collaboration is needed from non-profits and 乌鸦传媒渘ot always big business,乌鸦传媒� but declined to give her name to the Capital News.

乌鸦传媒淚 was not happy with our choices (for mayor),乌鸦传媒� she said.

As his duty to vote, resident Don Abney said he studied each of the council candidate乌鸦传媒檚 platforms.

乌鸦传媒淚 wasn乌鸦传媒檛 happy for with the past mayor so I didn乌鸦传媒檛 vote for the mayor,乌鸦传媒� he said. 乌鸦传媒淭he thing that bothered me the most was the placement of the tourist bureau down by the lake.乌鸦传媒�

He also said event planners were ignored by council.

Two residents who said they lived downtown were concerned with the homelessness situation.

And two 18-year-olds cast their ballots for the first time Saturday morning.

乌鸦传媒淚t felt good, it乌鸦传媒檚 something that we take for granted so it乌鸦传媒檚 something we should always do,乌鸦传媒� said Ben Whittaker. Whittaker and Tommy DeWitt said there wasn乌鸦传媒檛 an issue, in particular, they were focused on for this election; it was more about exercising their right to vote.

乌鸦传媒淲e both really like history乌鸦传媒� so we realize how fortunate we are to actually have this ability to vote,乌鸦传媒� Whittaker said.
