Roughly two hours after it was first reported by BC Wildfire Service, the wildfire north of Falkland is under control.
BC Wildfire made the update to the spot-sized wildfire's status shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, July 31.
The wildfire is no longer projected to spread beyond its current perimeter, which remains 0.009 hectares.

A wildfire has been ignited north of Falkland and east of Enderby Thursday afternoon.
BC Wildfire Service reported the small blaze just after 3 p.m. July 31.
Located near Spa Lake, the fire is currently 0.009 hectares in size and is believed to have been caused by lightning.
Its exact location is listed as North Blair Creek.
The fire is classified as out of control, meaning it is expected to spread beyond its current perimeter. The fire is in a remote area and there are currently no evacuation orders or alerts.
