A 20-storey rental apartment building has been proposed for 1200 Pacific Avenue in Kelowna.
An application by New Town Architecture and Engineering Inc. seeks to rezone and secure a development permit for the site. The project would bring 157 rental homes.
The building is proposed under the UC2r zone, which supports urban residential development, and fits within the city乌鸦传媒檚 Official Community Plan and zoning bylaws, allowing up to 12 storeys and a "mixed residential street" feel. However, the proposed tower would rise to 20 storeys, requiring city approval.
"This mid-rise building has a distinctly residential personality," New Town乌鸦传媒檚 proposal reads. 乌鸦传媒淚t includes street-facing townhomes at its base, corner balconies in the mid-section, and larger top-floor suites that flow into rooftop amenities.乌鸦传媒�
Parking will be provided entirely within the building, across five levels乌鸦传媒攆our above ground and one underground.
City council will review the proposal in the coming weeks.
